Applied to a "remote" job, went through five rounds of interviews, got the offer. Nobody mentioned an office once. Now they're saying it's 3 days a week onsite and I genuinely don't know what to do.

What was this recruiter thinking?
Well, not only is there a trend where more and more job candidates are looking for remote opportunities, but in tandem with that is another trend where more and more hiring managers are listing their open positions as “remote” when they are, in fact, only hybrid.
What's most concerning is that even if these guys thought they could convince this candidate to come into the office in-person, wouldn't they consider picking a candidate who at least lived nearby? It's hard to imagine convincing someone who lives 47 miles away from the office to start coming in after they were falsely advertised.
It just seems like if these guys were really going to commit to being vague and shady, they should have at least thought this through and picked candidates who were more likely to be convinced due to proximity alone.
